Bra or bralette?

I've always had a broad back compared to my boob measurement (iyswim) but recently my bras just don't fit. I've lost a bit of weight and my boobs have shrunk! I'm 46 and 5ft2" with my old bras 38 A and some even older at 36 b. The cups are all now gapping at the top. Tighter straps just give me shoulder bulge. Should I try bralettes? I need a little bit of support as my skin isn't as elastic as it used to be!

I was recently measured for a bra and was surprised to discover that although I'd lost weight a larger cup size and balconette bra fitted the best as apparently I've lost upper breast fat but needed more support below.

Look up Boob or Bust. I highly doubt you have ever been a 38A and have been wrongly sized all of this time. An actual A cup means just 1 inch of breast tissue, that's for both boobs, so 1/2 inch each.

I'm a 34a and u haven't worn a bra for years, bralette all the way! The one I'm wearing now is from primary and has elastic under the 'cups' so even though there isn't much to hold up lol, there is some support, I'm 46 so not getting any younger!

I also have a broad back, with small, widely set boobs.

I've never had a bra that actually fits without gaping cups or digging in or cutting off my circulation 😬 I've tried all different sizes including Boob or Bust. I'm just the wrong shape for normal bras!

I live in Gilly Hicks bralettes in a size Small (I'm size 8). They don't seem to make them any more so I'm feeling anxious about what I'll do when my current bralettes need replacing!

Where did you get measured please? Sounds like they knew their stuff!
