Another style question - how do I style this dress?

I’m sure you’re all sick of me by now, but I’ve never been able to buy and enjoy clothes before!

I picked up this dress yesterday. It’s chocolate brown, despite appearing black in the photo. I can see it being styled with some gold jewellery, but what else? The goal is to wear it to dinner on holiday. What colour bag? Shoes?? Im useless at this!

I have a bag like this which goes with all my holiday dresses. Sorry for epic link! Don't know your budget but there are cheaper versions out there.

This style of bag could be exactly what I’m looking for! Do you find it frustrating in that things fall out of it when you open it?

Not really as the one I have (from Fablou) has fabric "gussets" so not an issue.

Bags already linked are perfect, I would add Birkenstocks or similar chunky sandal, gold jewellery/ bangles & earrings and black framed sunnies. You can dress it up with gold sliders and a gold bag, for a more going out look. Can I also suggest adjusting your bra straps or getting a new bra to hoik everything up. I do find shirring comfortable but you need to create a lifted shape underneath if that makes sense.

Yes the bra yesterday wasn’t ideal! But it was so hot and sweaty I just wanted to get in and out. New push up bras have been purchased!

It has an ethnic vibe so I would go for some chunky wooden jewellery such as wide cuff. Burnished gold would also go well with the chocolate.

I love dark brown 😍 It's a very versatile colour that you can coordinate with many other colours - duck egg blue, teal, khaki, hot pink, baby pink, burnt orange, a grassy green, light to mid blues. Black for a heavier look but I leave that for winter.

Apologies I thought the dress was black! I didn’t have my glasses on, so I would say dark brown Birkenstocks and maybe tortoishell framed sunnies instead 😊

Yellow, orange and even RED would look good with choc brown. Nice dress on you.

I have this one for hols. Can be clutch or crossbody. Goes with everything and holds a lot of "stuff"!
