Looking ahead to A/W

At this time of year I always start looking ahead to autumn and winter. I think it’s because I work in a school and as soon on as the hols start (private boarding school, broke up 2 weeks ago) I start to feel the need to pick my September wardrobe!

I’m obviously far too early and the high street is still in peak summer trading. Is anyone else feeling like me?! What do you think you’ll be wearing?

I want an oversized cashmere crew neck in a neutral colour as a staple. Tan Chelsea boots and maybe thick black leggings.

I am also coveting the Longchamp back pack.

Sort of, I’ve bought two new pairs of jeans on vinted ready ( I’ve dropped two dress sizes and don’t want to keep spending lots) and have done a count of my cardys for autumn that fit

It's normally still pretty warm in London in September but I do get excited. Stripes are still big and I love them. I want some wide striped jumpers and a black faux fur coat. I need a new bag, Im drawn to suede but is this practical with our weather? I like
the cape style coats but not sure how much wear I will get. Slouchy 80s boots are back but I'm not sure. A lot of the trends I already have something from eg velvet blazer, animal prints so I will shop my wardrobe. I will be leaning into the frazzled english women trend! 😆

I really want some Birkenstock Boston's or a version of in an animal but not leopard print.

Love this print but hate the buckle strap colour & black soles would be better.

I am very tempted by these

must admit I really can’t think about autumn winter until I’ve had my summer holiday which this year is the end of September into October, the upside is the mid season sales would have started. I do need a new all season bag though as mine is on its last legs - any ideas? Requirements include must be able to be carried by hand and also on shoulder, must have pocket for phone, keys etc as I’m too disorganised otherwise and not too expensive but strong but would prefer to pay a bit more if it lasts well, I use the same bag for work 5 days a week, last bag has lasted 3 years of punishment!

I'll will wear them with most of my trousers styles eg jeans, joggers, black trousers with socks. I just see them as a trainer really or an ugg boot.
