Nice everyday pants

My pants are shocking. It's a good thing I've been married for a thousand years and DH doesn't care. Faded, greying, falling apart, generally unflattering. The list goes on. I need some really good-quality everyday pants that will suck me in slightly and not make me sad whenever I look at them.

Looked at Stripe & Stare but they are quite pricy (£50 for 4 pairs?). M&S aren't what they used to be, though. Is there any brand somewhere in between the two, where it's a nicer experience than buying a sad 5-pack for a tenner but I wouldn't have to spend £100 to get one pair for every day of the week?

@lurkingfromhome my go to pants are the primark seamless high leg briefs. They have some elastic which holds the belly in plus they look very classic and stylish. These are my comfiest and replaced a whole load of the tatty stuff. And cheap!

Uniqlo do a really nice high rise cotton knicker. They are flattering and good under most clothes because the edges at the legs and waist are all really wide stretchy lace, so nothing digs in.

Uniqlo are definitely the comfiest pairs in my underwear drawer - not the prettiest but perfectly acceptable and so comfy! I’m just about to order some more ..

I love my Boody full briefs! They have other styles too. I don't think they suck in that much but they are high waisted enough to smooth over everything so they look good under any clothes.

Stripe and stare are comfortable but quite flimsy - not firm at all if that’s whet you’re looking for. My current favourites are from British boxers. They’re bamboo and despite okay having 4 pairs, all my others are getting ignored. Again, not especially firm though.

Yeah, I suppose I was a bit misleading in my original post. Not looking for anything like Spanx, just something high of waist that makes me feel a bit 'held together', as it were. I'm wearing these ancient thong type things that really are doing me no favours whatsoever and I feel a bit, let's say untethered.

Brilliant ideas here, thanks. Don't know why I hadn't thought of Uniqlo as I find them really great for basics. And I'd never have thought of Primark. Going to investigate the other two too.

@lurkingfromhome yep, I know what you mean. Definitely try the primark ones, they just have the right amount of elasticity without being uncomfortable. I was also surprised when I tried them out.

Wirarpa on amazon are cheap but have a high percentage of cotton and are amazing.
