Any good? I just tried one of those virtual glasses try on things, and I look like the woman in the bath in The Shining. I've got to do something!

I’ve only tried that powder foundation - it oxidised on me whereas my other foundations never do.

Not tried anything else from the range.

Took an age to arrive and their emails were really annoyingly Enthusiastic American đŸ˜†

Thanks for your honesty, doesn't sound good. And it's VERY expensive.

I ordered one of set a few weeks back. It's the marbled powered?
I like it, it really evens out my colour and I have quite oily skin and my make up was melting off my face in the heat but I haven't noticed that as much with the Laura gellar stuff

simsbustinoutmimi · 10/07/2025 18:02

Honestly not really. The original powder foundation (marbled one) doesn’t give much coverage, takes an effort to build it if you want anything decent. I ended up using mine as a setting powder. But you can buy decent ones for half the price. my mum often gets it off QVC for a decent price for a bundle but she doesn’t have any skin imperfections

Quirkswork · 10/07/2025 18:36

It wasn't nearly as good as I hoped. Did nothing for my skin really.

QVC sometimes does a value bundle with a few bits in it, but you’re right it’s expensive and (imo) not worth it.

PizzaSophiaLoren · 10/07/2025 21:19

It’s ok, light coverage. It doesn’t cake.

NoKnickerElastic · 10/07/2025 21:21

The baked balance one makes me completely orange

Beeinalily · 11/07/2025 11:32

Sounds like it's not for me, thanks everyone for saving me money and disappointment. The one PP who liked it had oily skin, but mine is very dry and prone to rosacea, so it's a "no" from me.

I have Seb Derm which leaves my face red and lumpy and very dry in places ( whereas I have an oily t zone ) and I love LG

I use the double take - which covers and holds fantastically then I go over with the Baked Balance and Brighten

There is a knack with application, you do have to really moisturise and then I use the LG primer and I get great coverage which lasts the day

The Balance and brighten won't cover age spots or skin discolouration, it just evens things out. You can still see you and its so light I cant feel it on my skin, which is why I hate liquid foundations or BB/CC creams

I never pay full price, its always half price , and it lasts forever

ThePoshUns · 11/07/2025 13:17

I found it too orange

dazzlingdeborahrose · 11/07/2025 14:32

Ive got it and I like it. It’s light coverage jut if you want more coverage you dab it on rather than swirl it on. I sometimes use it as a finishing powder. I also use Meroda foundation which gives more coverage but is ligjtweight.
