Summer below-the-knee dress for 5’

Struggling to find a summer dress that doesn’t look like I”m playing dressing-up, or really frumpy. I’m 5 ft, a size 10 generally, not much bust but a bit of post-natal tummy. Any recommendations please? Is pattern or block colour better?

Something plain or with a small pattern and a waist or worn with a slim belt is good.

I’ve just picked up this from river island (in 2 colours) and it looks so good! I’m 5’1
