No7 Wheatsheaf eyeshadow

For years this was the one for me. Every single day as a good base or wear alone with an eyeliner.

Then they discontinued it several years ago and I went for MAC Naked lunch which wasn’t ideal cause of ethics.

Today on a rare child free trip into town I just browsed no7 to see what I could get to get a free beauty palette gift.

It’s back!! So pleased. Not used it yet but looks the same.

That’s been available for quite a while op. It’s a classic. I love the shade called Mink, it’s really wearable and subtle and not so shimmery I’m too old for shimmery now 😢

Really! That’s great news! I’m a long time wearer and had to switch mink which is ok but not as nice as wheatsheaf.

It was mink I was expecting to pick up but Wheatsheaf was there too and I thought I was seeing things.

How long has it been back? I really don’t treat myself that often.

Im half way to 50. When is too old for shimmer - genuine question.

@CornishTiger im sorry I can’t answer that, I just felt the less shimmery was more flattering on me, as I aged, a personal thing perhaps, I have blue/green eyes so the Mink seems to suit me and is quite flattering as it’s almost skin colour (I think that’s ‘nude’ isn’t it ? )

have you tried the no7 protect and perfect foundation, it’s lovely. Hope you got the £10 off deal it ends today

PS …I’m not sure how long it’s been available all I know it’s it’s been on the shade drop down every time I have done an online order.

It’s back but it’s not the same, more beigey. Still nice but I have the original - tiny bit and defo different 😞

Both wheatsheaf and mink have been my go to eyeshadows for the last 15-20 years, I love them both!

Me too, I'm 46 and actually find matte eyeshadows more aging as they dry the skin out and enhance texture. I like satin and micro shimmer the best.

I’ve not tried no7 protect and perfect foundation but I don’t really use a base. Only recently occasionally use tinted moisturiser. May try it on your recommendation though.

I had a look in the vain hope they might have brought back nutmeg, but sadly not. It's so sad when a loved product just gets discontinued.

@longtompot clinique are the worst for this 🥲 long pretty lashes was the best mascara ever and a good seller too but they stopped that years ago never to be bettered IMO

@longtompot try ARTDECO cosmetics they have hundreds of shades In Three finishes, they are build your own compact with a magnetic back and do a small one that fits two eyeshadows I managed to get a copy of a Clinique discontinued one.
