Can anyone recommend a good one? I'm in my 50s. Thanks 😊

The Erborian BB cream is really good and a little goes a long way.

For a lower coverage option I like the By Aimee skin tint. Can get both in Boots

myladyjane · 06/07/2025 15:46

I like NARS. I do also like eborian as well

I am really liking the Revlon Illuminating skin tint. Not too pricey and leaves a lovely glow.

I like Nars but it is relatively heavy for a tinted moisturiser. Laura Mercier is nice but much lighter-weight. Depends what you're after!

stayathomer · 06/07/2025 15:50

Very few shades but if it does suit clarins bb is standout for me, also Clinique. Garnier was very shiny on my (dry) skin, le Roche posay didn’t suit me shade wise, Olay touch of foundation was nice but to me a bit more suitable for winter. Didn’t click with Erborian or it cosmetics and found bare minerals too sheer and glossy on my skin. Best of luck op!)

Thanks - will look into those mentioned.

I'm 66 and love the lightness of Laura Mercier. It matches my skin perfectly and makes me look like a better version of me.

Loads of other brands look too orange on me, but Laura Mercier comes in loads of shades.

I'm a big fan.

I used to adore the Laura Mercier one but can’t help but think that the formula has changed recently. I’ve been buying and using it for years but the last bottle that I bought felt so heavy on the skin and had an oddly strong scent of sunscreen. Felt like I was rubbing Nivea kids factor 50 on my face🤢 Unfortunately won’t be repurchasing!

Ilia skin tint is my new alternative - super lightweight and very natural ingredients. It’s lovely and gives you the most gorgeous, healthy glow.

NooNakedJacuzziness · 06/07/2025 16:21

I like the Erborian but keep going back to L’Oreal Magic BB which I prefer (and it’s much cheaper)

Londondreamer · 06/07/2025 16:39

I have the Erborian and love how it goes on and how it makes my skin feel but i put it on the other day and when i got home, looked in the mirror and it had oxidised terribly and had gone completely orange.

The search continues.

lifeisacat · 06/07/2025 17:47

I love the Elemis superfoods one

AsCoolAsKimDeal · 06/07/2025 18:09

Chantecaille but it’s £££

Mumteedum · 06/07/2025 18:14

Olay total effects 7 in 1. It's a lovely moisturiser with a bit of colour. But if I want more coverage I now use trinny serum in the silver tube. It's a serum with colour and it's buildable. Like it a lot.

Sometimes will use olay under the trinny one or else just a plain moisturiser.

smallsilvercloud · 06/07/2025 18:48

Charlotte tilbury unisex healthy glow, I like how natural it looks, non greasy. Just like my skin but better, It suits light-medium only though, not for very fair or very dark tones.

Chantecaille but it’s £££

I agree. I keep trying other brands which are OK, but think I'm going to have to splash out on this again!

AsCoolAsKimDeal · 06/07/2025 19:22

Chantecaiile does last for ages. Plus I’m very pale/neutral and Nars, Erborian etc are too yellow for me.

flairyfairy · 06/07/2025 19:27

I’ve just started using the Jones Road one and it is excellent.

Wolbutter · 06/07/2025 19:41

I really like bare minerals, I like Laura mercier but it stings my eyes. Recently I was at Glossier with DD and bought their skin tint and it's my favourite for very lightweight - really doesn't look like make up

Thanks all. I can see I need to do some research!
