Which nails?

I’m going on holiday soon and want to get my nails done. My natural nails break and split, so are short from filing them smooth.
Years ago I would have just booked in to have acrylics, but I’m learning that these aren’t the done thing anymore? What do I need to get? I’ve no idea what biab is, can you get extensions with gel?
can someone please explain it in simple terms x

Get gel polish.

And keep your nails short as these are more in trend than long ones

BIAB is just a liquid poly gel which acts as the hard protective coat to nail, same as acrylic's, only it can be soaked off ( with time )

Right now Im doing a two coat clear dip to my nails for strength and then using a gel colour. Gels arent strong enough alone for me as I work as a cook - hands in hot water all shift

For a holiday, and getting nails done in a salon, Id go for the BIAB with a gel finish. Will hold the nail together and gel on BIAB will hold a lot longer, less chance of chipping then on natural nail

Keep them short
