Does anyone know when Thought stopped selling clothes? I have a couple of pieces I’ve had for a few years that I still love wearing. I thought it was time to look for some more and now they just sell socks 😦 I’m so disappointed. What happened?

I looked for them a few weeks ago and found the same. Apparently they went into administration in September 2023. I can only assume that the only way to salvage anything from the business was to scale down massively. Hence just socks.

It's a shame, although I've mostly only bought socks from them, so I'm glad that part of it is still going. They have the best socks, I buy loads every Christmas for myself and for presents.

I think they were lucky not to disappear completely. I think it was a bit weird the way they didn't tell the customers as surely there would have been interest in stock clearance. I still see the odd item on third party websites -even Sainsbury's were selling Thought for a while.

They were bought out by Woolovers (or its parent) who still have a few items of clothing in their clearance section. I think a few can still be found on TU.

Based on the BNWT listings I've seen on Vinted and eBay, they must have done an outlet sale at some point.

It’s so sad and as @TheOGCCL says, weird that they didn’t email customers about a closing clearance sale.
