K18 - any experience? Home or salon?

My hairdresser has suggested a K18 treatment - it costs £45.

Is K18 worth it - and if so does the stuff you buy yourself achieve the same effect?

I recently bought the leave-in mask and the Astro Lift volume spray both of which have done wonders for my fine hair. They were expensive, though.

Definitely don't spend £45 on a treatment - it's ok, I didn't notice anything that is worth £45 but appreciate we might have very different hair types! I'd suggest buy a small bottle yourself and see how you go. For context, my friend is a mobile hairdresser and charges £12 for a treatment! You only need to use a tiny amount.

I use the leave in mask and it is fantastic for my very fine hair. I only use a tiny bit once a week and although it's expensive, it lasts for months

K18 totally ruined my hair. I wish I’d never used it. I followed the instructions so know I used it correctly. I also know it was a legit product supplied by my hairdresser. It also ruined my 30th wedding anniversary holiday as my hair was a dry, frizzy mess. It has snapped so much. Whilst others are reporting how fantastic it is, I really would not recommend the risk. I’ve tried contacting K18 via their contact details but they haven’t replied, and despite efforts to contact them through other avenues, they appear to be untraceable.
