Bras-update me

I have worn the same type of bra for 35years.
M&S slightly padded and underwired T shirt bras. I always get properly fitted etc. and replace regularly.
Is there something better now with new technology? I can’t help but think that wires are quite old fashioned but they do help with “lift” and support.
Any recommendations? My only reservation is I do like white underwear and so prefer cotton as can wash hot and newer fabrics may go grey?

underwires are the best way to get maximum/support and uplift. If you’re very small busted with perky boobs you could go for a bralette type. Otherwise don’t expect the support you get with your regular bra.

T shirt bras are the worst ones to fit correctly due to being moulded and who has exactly the same shape boobs??? You need an unlined bra. Try the A bra that fits way to measure yourself at home, then order a Panache Envy bra in that size and one above below, or better still go to a department store that sales them. Life changing. Fits like a dream.

Depends really - are you a 32B or a 36H? If at the more modest end of the spectrum really the world’s your oyster; you could buy almost anything purely because you like how it looks, feels, and fits. I imagine those with much larger measurements have to shop more carefully.

I don’t think I’ve ever bought the same bra twice, because there’s so much choice. Some colourful silks for appropriate occasions, some sports bras, some strapless or convertible. (Have to say it’s a long time since I’ve seen anything white, but that’s probably because I’m never looking for it.)

I would probably start by browsing somewhere like

https://www.ssense.com/en-gb/women/bras

or

https://www.net-a-porter.com/en-gb/shop/clothing/lingerie/bras

and then going to the website of any brand that appeals.
