Lip moisturiser

Can anyone recommend a really good lip moisturiser?
Not a balm as I find they just sit on my lips and don’t truly moisturise.

My lips are so so dry at the moment. Not chapped exactly but just dry and sore.

Carmex or blisteze is good

Daughn · 28/06/2025 16:28

Another vote for Blisteze

Nuxe reve de miel I find really moisturises. I say this on every thread about lips I think!

No7 Protect and Perfect lip cream actually moisturises the lips.

Bepanthen, cerave healing ointment, La Roche posay lip tube thing.

Most lip balms like Carmex have fragrance and essential oils which are irritating so you keep putting more on.

Seconded. The only one that sorted out my cracked lips. Use the one in the pit not the stick. Last forever.

Don't use Carmex or blisteze as the menthol irritates the lips and makes then worse in the long run.

I know you said no balms, but have you tried whacking on a load of balm at bedtime? I'm still trying to cement the habit, but it does help enormously. I got into a bad habit of picking the dry skin on my lips which was awful and sore. I've used one of the Laniege lip masks overnight which was fabulous, and also Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip balm - I apply it like a mask (so, loads of it) and it has worked really well.
When I applied it with a bit less abandon and more dignity, it didn't do anything and I'd written it off.

Having said all that, I'm off to order the Nuxe reve de miel.

Avene Cicalfate I'd a nice lip cream. Or anything lanolin based.

Laneige every night when I get into bed. Have done whole winters with no need of lip balm because of this.

Eminybob · 28/06/2025 18:37

Thanks all, I have ordered the Nuxe one

Just an update to add that the Nuxe seems to have sorted me right out! Thanks for the recommendations.
