What are these shoes called?

They're sort of like a fisherman sandal in the front, but a bit more delicate and pointed, and then have a tie round the arch of the foot and the heel is flat and closed, like a ballerina. What is this shoe called? Saw someone wearing them today and they were lovely and looked quite smart!

Or maybe they were more like an oxford but with a bit of ventilation at the sides and in the front?

“Huarache” might be what you want?

Ooh the huarache is gorgeous but that's not what I've seen. I'm trying to find a picture but can't come up with the right search terms!
I saw someone wearing them today and they were gorgeous. More like an oxford in the front, but with openings on the side to make it more sandal like. And they tied on with laces.

This might be sort of like what I saw but the main shoe part was a bit more strappy and not as pointed at the toe, the straps were a bit broader and the shoe was black.

A ghillie shoe?

minipie · 27/06/2025 23:23

There’s these on etsy?

Try googling leather lace up shoe cut outs

@minipie thank you, yes that's almost exactly it! Google seems to give me a wide range of images for those search terms, but this helps me narrow things down quite a bit, many thanks!
