A dry shampoo that actually works?! 🧴

I barely get 24 hours between shampoos these days, yet it’s not always possible for me to wash daily.

I’ve tried so many dry shampoos and they’re all a bit crap. Are there any out there that actually work?!

Why not try changing your current shampoo and conditioner to see if that makes a difference?

Yorkshirelass21 · 25/06/2025 15:17

I use Oribe, it works and doesn’t make my scalp itch

Oh I love that range

eye watering expensive though

I use the Living Proof dry shampoo, nothing else works for me unfortunately. Can easily get 2 days extra between washes if needed.

Living Proof Perfect Day Advanced Clean. Really works and no itchy scalp.

itbemay1 · 25/06/2025 15:45

Colab is brilliant. No white cast and no itching also inexpensive and smells great

I’ve recently discovered Battle Green and am very impressed with it. I bought it from the big online retailer that shares its name with a South American river but they have their own independent online store too.

It is! But still cheaper than all the money I spent on the stuff that didn’t work:)

I use batiste but I don’t wait till the morning when hair is already a bit flat and greasy.
if I need to get an extra day out of my hair I wash it really thoroughly on day 1. I have greasy skin so I make sure I keep my forehead as grease free as possible as it makes my fringe greasy. Before bed I apply the batiste and gently rub in - particularly on fridge, sides of hair and top/back of head. I tie my hair back and go to bed. (Clean pillowcase if it’s been on a few days).
next day my hair is in fairly grease free condition. Sometimes I might add another squirt of dry shampoo but usually don’t.

voduz dry texture spray is brilliant - really fine, smells lovely and gives a bit of lift at the roots.

fatgirlswims · 25/06/2025 19:52

I love primark dry shampoo

Yellowlab34 · 25/06/2025 23:39

I think Batiste is still the best one.

Binman · 25/06/2025 23:59

I got Percy & Reed as a present and it’s great, only need a small amount. So much better than Batiste, so much more expensive too.

I use a silk pillowcase and my hair needs less washing. It used to need washing every day.

I might try the living proof based on this thread.

I’m just coming back to this thread as I saw a new type of liquid/spray dry shampoo recommended on here, so I bought it. It’s Got2b Get Fresh and it is amazing!!

I hav used Davines and Colour Wow dry shampoo. Both are very effective, have a nice fragrance, and don’t leave you looking dusty.
