I stumbled on them whilst looking for platform trainers - but they look more of a shoe? I need the height and though they would be good for the winter months ... cant decide if they are fugly or stylish? Trying and failing to be a brogue?

What do I think? Not much. They look left over from another era.

You could have a look at

Grenson

where there are several things on built up soles, that manage to look a bit more contemporary. (Plus, there’s a sale on.)

Ugly as fuck. They look like 1970s orthopaedic shoes.

Serious no from me. Really fugly

The R&B ones arrived and are fabulous. Delighted with them. My v cool DS approved and said they are like stackform Vans - not a brogue.

It's a no from me

I quite like them. Cropped slim trousers and a shirt, rocking a sort of androgynous look is what I'm picturing

They are pure 1970’s Librarian chic. I’d style them with a plaid or tweed skirt suit. Great to reach the top shelves if you are on the short side.

Yes thats where I see myself wearing them - with short vintage mens suit trousers showing crumpled socks - and oversized blazer.
