I am going on a fab holiday to a hot beach resort and need things to wear. I am very short, size 14, big tummy, and hate my legs. I tend to cover myself head to toe but I have a lovely teenage daughter who keeps asking me to be brave and wear a bikini (ha). I’m not going to do that, but really struggling to find costumes which have a bit more coverage around the gusset area but still
look nice.

I love this Seafolly one https://uk.seafolly.com/products/seafolly-collective-boyleg-one-piece-10316-942-black but they do not have it in my size. Does anyone know of anything similar or could recommend any brands?

Hot beach resort for me would mean a rash vest and board shorts

What about a swim dress? This is magisculpt, they do some good costumes…

As a fellow weeble (love that btw) I would say avoid swim dresses if you actually plan on doing any swimming/pool activities. They look fine until you get out at which point they cling to every bump and somehow manage to make one look even wider.
a bikini with boy shorts is the way forward: against every instinct but honestly it does not look like how you think it does. Boy shorts that come up past the hip (far enough up to hold the c section shelf for me) and then a decent bikini top elongates the body and stops the weeble look.

I'm around a size 14 too and most of my weight is on my tummy. I've scratched around trying to find swimsuits that mask the tummy for a while and avoided "normal" one pieces but recently bought the landsend tugless and it is very nice. Excellent gusset coverage, doesn't ride up (that's the tugless bit) and actually does seem to smooth things out. My belly does not look huge in it.

My other swimsuits are sea fancy. Their returns are utterly, utterly crap. Basically don't bother. But the 2 I have are nice. I've had them for about 3 years now and I swim regularly (outdoors so no chlorine) and they have held up very well. No sagging, no transparent arse. They have a lot of tankinis with looser tops and a variety of shorts style bottoms.

Lands End have really nice swimsuits if you want more coverage. I’d go something like this tankini top plus swim shorts or one of their ‘tugless’ swimsuits.

Thank you so much! Some really great suggestions. That Seafancy one is gorgeous so I might try that and just hope it fits, but also be brave and try some kind of bikini top with very high waisted boy shorts… I’d not thought to look at Lands End so this has been really helpful!
