My feet are really dry, and creams don't seem to really work!

Pumice stone

Saxendi · 22/06/2025 22:02

Ideally a visit to a podiatrist would be really helpful.
CCS heel balm is the cream most podiatrists recommend and it does work!

Autumn1990 · 22/06/2025 22:02

Vaseline but only if I remember to put it on every day

crazycatladie · 22/06/2025 22:05

Foot cream with urea in.

Judiezones · 22/06/2025 22:08

I had this problem and I now see a podiatrist every 2 months and she smooths them down. I also use O'Keefe's cream after a shower.

PragmaticIsh · 22/06/2025 22:09

I used a foot peel mask (bootie type thing that you soak your feet in) which peeled the top layer off my feet after seven days. Now religiously applying a urea-based cream each night, and also using a foot file regularly.

clary · 22/06/2025 22:10

have you tried Flexitol? It’s not cheap but I find it works. Need to use it daily tho.

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 22/06/2025 22:11

I use palmers coco butter cream twice a day on my feet and they are soft.

Talkinpeace · 22/06/2025 22:11

Scholl heel cream with urea

Boopear · 22/06/2025 22:12

ELIM pedicures are pretty good if you have get one near you. They use an acidy thing for getting rid of hard skin. Works a treat. Also CCS foot cream.

User37482 · 22/06/2025 22:12

Cerave foot cream

user0987637829 · 22/06/2025 22:13

I have a bad problem with one and have found a foot file followed by flexitol rapid cream overnight gets it looks perfect! I do have to do it several times a week, might never stay smooth for long

blueshoes · 22/06/2025 22:15

Flexitol.

For me, I slathered moisturiser and wear socks all day. I found that if I wear flip flops and have my heels exposed, the foot becomes cracked and dry.

Iudncuewbccgrcb · 22/06/2025 22:17

You need the proper 25% urea flexitol in the big tub. Slather it on at night and some kind of diamond or glass foot file in the bath/shower as often as possible.

Scholl glass foot file is the best thing I’ve found, use a couple of times a week to start with and follow up with a foot cream (I also like flexitol). You’ll quickly not need to use it so much.

Foolsgold74 · 22/06/2025 22:33

Consistency. Twice a week at least, rasping and moisturising. Margaret Dabbs stuff is fantastic.

I purchased this glass file recently after being recommended it on here - and it is brilliant!
It smooths my feet out beautifully, I use it dry. I also use the foot scourers used in salons daily in the shower and moisturise often.
At nighttime, I pop on a plastic foot bag over a thick layer of vaseliine and wake to the softest feet ever!
Also, a pedicure monthly. I keep up the work in between and have smooth feet always.

Happyinheels · 22/06/2025 22:55

Before you get into bed on an evening, coat your feet with Vaseline then put socks on. Works wonders!

You cannot put cream over flaky dry skin - it needs to come off first!
Use the glass foot file first and continue until all loose, rough skin is removed. Then soak your feet and get to work with a pumice/foot scrubber and soap. When dry, use any foot cream with urea. Top off with vaseline and pop into foot bags and you will have pretty feet in no time!

Beautifullymixed · 22/06/2025 23:01

Here you go! I have tried loads over the years. 50+ with dry feet. This works and my feet are the smoothest they have ever been.

Microplane foot file (gently!) and ccs foot cream every night

Bufftailed · 23/06/2025 22:25

O’keefe’s healthy feet is like magic. Works in a few days

Ahwig · 23/06/2025 23:02

I saw a podiatrist for a corn who then reduced some of the hard skin on my heels. She said cream, any cream but it had to be done nightly and then cover with socks. I’ve been doing this since Christmas. They aren’t like velvet ( I wish) but no more cracks and are sooo much better.

ladygindiva · 23/06/2025 23:08

Scholl cracked heel cream. It's honestly amazing.
