There are loads of great ones out there atm, but am a bit overwhelmed I can't work out what to get. I need two: one for swimming pool/aqusize (practical) and one for holiday (Italian Lakes - so possibly a bit prettier/fun/stylish)

I am size 14 and 5'7. Large of bum and bossom and tummy now bigger than I would like. I hate high-cut and prefer something nearer a short, but can cope with a low cut leg.

I have looked at M&S (why so many high cut legs?) Freya, Triumph and Bravissimo and not inspired. Next has loads of lovely ones- where to start?

Please help with your stylish discernment and recommendations...

I like the Next tummy control ones with ruching and the wrap/cross over on the bust. I have plain black and a black and white print from last year.
I would happily get another but I don’t need one at the moment.

Pour moi tummy control pants and the bikinis are in proper bra sizes so they're more flattering I find especially the halterneck ones are good .

Weedkillerworks · 21/06/2025 16:56

Pour Moi via Next - ordered loads and the Pour Moi one was just in a different category - good bust support without being like scaffolding, a little bit of control at the front without hindering your breathing. Feels really good on (and I’m a fair bit bigger that you).

For swimming, Land's End Tugless. Not exciting..But don't budge. And not skimpy.

HelenCurlyBrown · 21/06/2025 16:57

They are on the expensive side, but Eres swimsuits are money well spent. I can’t tell you how flattering they are.

Pattygonia · 21/06/2025 17:02

Yy to Lands’End - costumes I’ve had from there have been v well made and lasted ages. Currently have a tugless one for pool/length swimming and it’s been great. As pp said not the most exciting but perfect for the exercise/everyday category

I have this myself.

Oh these are excellent suggestions - the tugless looks perfect for swimming and have just found this from the Next ones https://www.next.co.uk/style/st450791/e51522#E51522

Also so much better on price than I expected

I have to say £500 + for the Eres ones is about £500 out of my range, but I am sure they are gorgeous. The Jets are really nice too but again I can't reall justify over £100 atm.

@ToClimb link is giving me "page not found".

Oh wow!

I absolutely love it!!

I saw someone wearing a Seamorgens bikini on a spa day a few weeks ago. It was really flattering and looked well made. So much so I actually went and chatted to her about it! I'm saving for one as they are a bit pricey but well worth it imo.

Now looking into Pour Moi

I just bought 2 of the Next tummy control ones to take on holiday. I bought the bandeau top versions rather than the plunge top. I bought both in a size 12 (my size) but found the sizing to be a bit variable- one of them was smaller fitting than the other. I could get them both on and they were comfortable enough but if I'd had time to try them on before I went away I think I would have sized up to a 14 as it might have been a bit more flattering.

So just something to bear in mind if ordering those.
