Please help me find shorts

I would like to try and find some flattering shorts. I'm in my 50s and size 12-14, pear shape and 5'3" ish. I used to wear any shorts when I was young and slim but I think it will take a bit of thought now.

The longest shorts I found were from Woolovers. I've got last year's design on order (on sale for £29 www.woolovers.com/womens/trousers/flat-front-linen-shorts-green-34404 ) - still available in a 12 in a sort of washed denim blue - the linen looks quite thin. I think that's the models I'm 5'9 and they sit an inch or two above my knee!

I got these from M& S recently, surprisingly flattering (much better than the Chino shorts which in previous years have been great but this years are horrible)
