Hi OP, I have had a few of these through my workshop and they’re great for all year round. That print is a classic, so not limited to any season just because of the colour.

If you wanted to jazz it up a bit lots of my customers have a monogram added or a little painted illustration and maybe add a coordinating keychain or scarf round the handle, so if you find a preloved one with any areas of wear, don’t rule it out, you can add your own unique touch to it!

They go with everything it’s an all year round bag.

what’s your work shop @TheShoeLady

I paint customised shoes and bags, do a lot of work on LV. Sometimes its just touching up scuffs or wear on corners etc and sometimes its a full blown piece of artwork across the whole bag. Great fun to do but huge responsibility when working on these pieces!

It's a really good size. I use mine every day.

Amberblue · 19/06/2025 10:35

Thank you I wasn’t sure if it’d be too small for shoulder but I’m not a big bag person

I have decided I will think about it is it worth buying new ? Do they hold value if I’d ever sell in future ?

I see brands like this as investment pieces and part of the experience is buying in store from them. It’s phenomenal!

lots and lots of fakes around!

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 19/06/2025 19:23

I got one in 2007, passed it on to a friend in 2017 when I got another one, I have the monogram but I do love the check.
It is pretty indestructible to be fair, I use mine nearly every day, winter and summer.
It can slip off the arm occasionally, but you get used to them.
Just try not to overfill it.
I buy inserts for mine every couple of years, made of felt, to act as an internal divider.
I do miss the price of the first one I bought - £400 brand new!
On a cost-per-wear basis that’s about 13 pence a day. The friend I passed it to is still using it by the way.

Yes, definitely.

Amberblue · 19/06/2025 19:59

Thanks I’ll most likely buy new the price is very high £1380 but I think if it holds value if I ever sell it ,it could be better as I do not want to wait a long time to find one in pristine condition. I’m getting excited now as I’ve wanted one for a very long time

If you want new absolutely go for it. The neverfull is a classic and my sil has this one. It is essentially a tote bag and she gets a lot of use out of hers. Personally I'd have a look at Designer exchange where you can see what prices second hand ones go for.

Omeara · 19/06/2025 23:09

It’s mad how much they are now, the price has shot up!

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 20/06/2025 07:03

I look at cost per wear. It will definitely last you 10 years.
That is £138 a year.
If you only use it 138 days of the year, that’s a £1 a day.
You could buy cheaper bags you will have to replace more often which often end up
costing more.
There are also some great places now which will clean and give your bag a glow up if needed.
I still use a check purse/wallet I got in 2001, it gets battered around in my handbag and is still in good shape and still going.

MellowPinkDeer · 20/06/2025 07:05

They were 995 like 5 years ago. I did really want one but there are far too many fakes of these now so I’ve invested elsewhere. I agree with the first poster , if you do want one, only buy this print.

If you love it and will use it - do it

Amberblue · 21/06/2025 12:24

Yes the price is high but I’ve decided to buy it new from online as no store near me. Hopefully it’ll last me a very long time so excited
