Non chafing underwear recommendations

In my middle age, my cheap cotton undercrackers (knickers) are chafing on the gusset. I need some real life recommendations please.

Would prefer not to spend a fortune but if that’s the only way, so be it. Ideally something like the M&S price point.

No thongs please but would shorts be better?

Got these off Amazon but was wary because normally I like to be able to have a look and a feel first. They're really comfy!

Thank you! I’ll give them a go. Also bought some low rise micro fibre shorts from M&S as it might be the cotton that is an issue .

Honestly I used to have this problem and it might be an unpopular opinion but in the summer I’ve stopped wearing underwear all together unless I’m wearing jeans or shorts which is rare. If I’m wearing a summer dress, skirt or any loosing fitting shorts I just go without underwear. It solves the chafing, sweating and any issues like that. In the winter when I wear leggings and jeans I wear underwear ofcourse and I usually go for Brazilian style underwear.
