Stylish and comfortable everyday jeans.

I need help with my most hated type of clothes shopping-jeans 😩. I’m looking for everyday casual jeans to wear to the shops, school pick up etc that are stylish but comfy too. I often just wear gym wear as it’s so comfy but really need to try and smarten up a bit. The only jeans I own are Levi’s ribcage, both the full length wide leg ones and the straight leg ankle ones. They are fine but looking for more inspiration thanks. Oh and I’m size 8/10 but most of my weight is in my bloated stomach.

I have some from m and called Sienna (I think), very comfy but so full of elastic that after a couple of wears they are falling down.

basically I’ve given up. This time of year I wear wide leg trousers, shorts or dresses.

Winter I like chinos, skirts or dresses with tights.

I’ve come to the conclusion I do not have the body for jeans. Good luck!

Cotton Traders do nice jeans in all colours and sizes. And they have nice chinos as well.
Very comfy to wear and long lasting.

Yes. My Sienna look good, but I am forever hitching them up.

Unbelievably, I bought some really comfortable jeans from Morrisons about a month ago. They are a little too short (I'm 5'7"), but I turn them up and wear them as cropped jeans.

Halara jeans are really comfortable. They are loose on the leg so don’t get too hot in summer and not tight around the waist. I wear them almost every day.

I get mine from there. I'm a big fan of their jeggings. They all fit my body shape and are so flattering. I know it's not the thing to be woman at Cotton Traders but I do love their trousers.

M&S palazzo jeans

NewsdeskJC · 17/06/2025 09:36

I recently bought cotton traders with the toddler style elastic waist. Fear I may never go back.....

TaupeRaven · 17/06/2025 09:41

I'm a recent convert to Hush jeans. I bought a couple of pairs of their barrel leg ones and they're just baggy enough without being clown like, and the denim is nice and thick with no stretch

I love Fat Face " Sway" slim jeans.
i wear the crop length but regular/ long are there too

sunshinechaser · 17/06/2025 12:08

Thanks everyone. I quite like the Halara jeans but while I think the waistline would be comfy I’m not quite sure if I could wear them-they remind me of my old maternity jeans!
Hush jeans look nice. I used to buy lots from Hush years ago but haven’t shopped there for ages. I think I’ll give them another try.
Shame about the M&S Sienna jeans. I was going to spend an afternoon in M&S trying on lots of different styles but this kind of puts me off now! I want to like the Palazzo jeans but think they are just a bit too wide for every day wear. I’ve tried them on before though and they are super comfy.

I really like the Levi 501 90’s - not too high waisted more mid rise that seems to be more flattering. I find anything too high rise bulges under the waistband.
l like you I’m an 8/10 but most of my weight is on my bloated stomach.

OneLoudTiger · 17/06/2025 14:55

I like a slim mom style for the summer and I’ve found good ones in Stradivarius/Bershka/Pull & Bear. If you look for the “comfort” ones especially they have 1% elastane so are v comfy for day to day wear.

River Island also do a slim mom style but they are more of a mid rise.

I had the same problem with the M&S Sienna jeans, I did wear them a lot but I was forever hitching them up!

sunshinechaser · 17/06/2025 17:03

@RampantIvyI quite like these but probably looking for something lighter for the summer.
@Nearlyadoctoroh I like those I think! I’m going to order to try them out. Thanks
