Summer shoes

I need a pair of summer shoes but not sandals as I hate my toes. Currently going about in crocs but need something a bit more trendy / smart for going out and about. What is in these days?

I’m in the same boat, I’ve got a fungal nail so don’t want to show my toes. I’ve been wearing Birkenstock clogs so far.

I have a pair of Dr martens mules in my basket but not sure how versatile they would be. I'm hitting 50 they need to go with dresses etc and got a trip in Majorca later this year.
I will have a look at the birkenstock

Espadrilles are nice for a holiday
