The perfect sundress

Does such a thing exist? I'm thinking of the type of dress my mum and aunties had on abundance in the 80s!

Short length cotton material thin straps easy wearing. Could throw on for a day out or to do the school run

Everything these days seems to have thick straps or high necks and be longer length or material that makes you sweat in the heat

Has anyone found anything like what I'm thinking or is it just a distant memory?

Have you got any photos of what you mean?

I have 2 from red herring that I bought years ago but like you, I haven't been able to find any since!
I'd love to have few more.

I've got several linen blend ones from h&m but with buttons down the front for breast feeding

I don't have any pictures as they just don't seem to be making them anymore

Anything in the shops that looks like the top half with a shirred bust or just simple spaghetti straps seems to be midi or longer and anything with the right short floaty skirt has either thick straps or a racer type top

Bring back the simple sundress!
