Accessorise dress

I bought a dress to wear at a smart wedding and am asking for advice on accompanying jewellery. The dress is bold and fifties shape-I don’t normally wear dresses like this but it suits me a lot. I’ve got some burgundy shoes and bag-tried a hatinator but it looked ridiculous. Can any stylish people tell me what jewellery you’d wear? I recently had my ears pierced (age sixties) for the first time so can do earrings! I like necklaces but am worried they may compete with the dress if that makes sense. The dress is this one. I’m 5’3 and size 10.

It’s a great dress - but already very decorative, so I’d want to be restrained with jewellery.

Probably not a necklace, unless you’re wearing the dress open at the neckline. And hair either short and sleek, or if long, put up - leaving room for some large plain stud earrings. Bangles and rings would work if strong plain shapes, but dainty little chains would be too fussy.

All you need is some little studs, the dress is making enough of a statement IMO.
(unless you are a maximalist....in which case load yourself up!!😆).

A chunky headband could look good with that dress

A wide waist belt could also work if you can find a colour to tie in

I have something very similar that I'm wearing to an event and am going with a single ring with a large stone.

@AFrolicOfMyOwn Oh I love those earrings-pity they don’t ship to UK but they look just right. I am wearing it open at the neck so thought nice necklace-I like the Sezane Claude but might be too heavy-so gold pendant instead? I do love pearls though.
@ScribblingPixie yes a bold ring-I have one with a large pink stone!

@minipie A wide belt sounds good. No headband though. I have a side part one length bob-my dd tells me I need it around my face to soften strong features.

Thank you-some good ideas here-am definitely going to look for similar tigers eye earrings that will ship to UK!

I’d stick with the pink ring if I were you. That dress really doesn’t need anything else.

Oh sorry - should have swapped to UK page first! This should work: (If content blocker off …)
