I'm using Medik8 and its been brilliant. Been using it for a few months and the texture and pimples have improved so much. I wasnt sure to splash out but after being disappointed by other brands I gave it a go.

The ordinary

@Quacking4it Hope you don't mind the question, what strength do you use, and did you start off on lower strengths?

Quacking4it · 10/06/2025 15:57

im using strength 10. I didn't start off low as I had previously used Cosrx and The Ordinary and didn't see any benefit with them. I have quite sensitive skin and didn't have any side effects.

ROC - does not irritate my skin, I have struggled with tret too and L’Oréal serum has given skin burns to both me and DD.

I am about to move to Medik8 Cristal 6. I suspect I'll use it for one tube/bottle then move up to the next level.

But I started with the Neutrogena stuff. They're very coy about the levels but the Retinol+ stuff was really brilliant for my skin when I first started using it although I did find I had to introduce slowly and I used hylaronic acid and regular nightcream as well.

I’ve just started using The Ordinary and I can honestly say it’s the first skin product I’ve ever used that makes a difference. It’s amazing. I use it every night. Burnt a little bit at first, not horrendous, just like mild sunburn but now it’s fine. My skin is definitely smoother. It’s not got rid of wrinkles, it’s not witchcraft, but tone and texture definitely improved
