Drawstring cord on trousers

Is there any way to avoid a lump when fastening it? Maybe an elastic thingy that you can attach to the cord ends after trimming them? I always wear tops that cover my waist. Nobody’s going to see it but I don’t want it to stick out.

You mean a drawstring toggle? Plenty of those available online.

Take out the drawstring? Replace it with elastic sewn into a loop?

Thanks both.

In case anyone’s interested, I’ve solved the problem by searching ‘tie drawstring trousers/pants’ and finding a choice of knots which let you tighten and loosen the cord, and which don’t really show.
