What colour foundation

With foundation, do you wear a colour that’s as close to your natural skin colour as possible? I don’t because I’m so pale and I like having colour and if I wear the shade that matches me (ivory) I just look really pale but maybe I should? Would that improve my appearance by wearing a colour that matches my natural skin toner?

Yes I do. I don’t wear foundation, I wear a CC cream by IT cosmetics but it’s as close as possible to my natural skin colour. I think it would look odd otherwise.

You could always try one that matches your skin tone and use bronzer/blush to add colour or warmth?

I’d wear foundation close to my skin colour and then some blusher or bronzer to avoid looking pale. I think if your foundation is too dark that it looks obvious and not quite right. But that’s just my opinion and I like the natural look, it’s you that has to wear it so if you’re happy with it then stick with it.

I think so, otherwise it always has that orangey, slightly fake look. I would start with a match but then use bronzer and blush to create a more realistic colour, focusing on where the sun would naturally hit and build. Saying this as someone also pale skinned, I mostly just go with it hut have started playing with bronzer more recently.

Match to your skin colour and then warm up your face with bronzer and blusher.

I’m very pale and always wear a foundation to match my skin colour and use blusher and/or bronzer to give me colour and glow. Wearing the wrong colour foundation isn’t a good look; think Donald Trump! You’ll look a lot better with a foundation that matches your skin colour.
