recently purchased their 2in1 straightners. I had some leftover gift money and my current bog standard straightners are yonks old so I decided to treat myself.
anyways they arrived and I couldn’t wait to give them a go, I always found curling with straightners a bit hit n miss so thought these might help a bit.
all seems fine but I’ve noticed the outside plastic covering, behind the plates, gets extremely hot. I’ve only used them about 3-4 times so far and on at least one time touching that area whilst turning to curl actually scorched my finger - enough that it was mildly sore for a couple of hours afterward. Surely this isn’t right. I tested them later by switching on and left for a few mins and tried the casing…..could hardly touch it, even my DP commented that it seemed far too hot.
anyone else had a similar issue, couldn’t find anything online....I’m on the verge of returning?
