WHITE STUFF a bit of a moan!

I've never bought any WS for years but tempted by 25/20% off I bought a couple of things online but will return. Basic Ts and a cardi (just to try.) The quality is awful and the sizing is all over the place.

Two T shirts are the same but just different colours. One is 2 inches longer. Their sizing seems all over the place, mainly bigger. (A 'old' 10 is now an 8, and if you wear an 8 you might need a 6 now!)

I couldn't wait to get out of the shop- the garish shades, the weird patterns, it was unrecognisable from about 15 years ago.

I like White Stuff but their sizing is mad. I bought some trousers in their online sale once that were allegedly a size 10, but the waist was roughly the dimensions of a yurt.

ETA: Realistically they were at least a size 14, even in terms of today's vanity sizing.

WS sizing has been nuts for decades and their quality has never been great. I used to buy loads from them about 15-20 years ago, but nothing recently.

Last time I bought WS was a couple of years ago and I found the sizing was really inconsistent. I got a couple of size 8 tops that I couldn't even get over my shoulders and a couple that were cavernous! It seems to depend on the styles, IDK if they've got multiple designers all using different size guides or something. The waists on the skirts/trousers were exactly the same. Some gaped at the back and fell down around my hips and others wouldn't close. I don't think I kept any of it. Even with a discount code, I expect clothes to actually fit me!

I was/am a 10, sometimes an 8 in tops and knitwear. Now even their 8s are too big- one felt more like a 12.
