Anyone used it? Does it live up to the hype? Is there a better, cheaper one out there you’d recommend? I’m fair, and often find ‘cheap’ means ‘orange’..

I haven’t tried the Jones Road one, but I like Nivea’s tinted moisturiser. I first tried it from a magazine sample when I was a teenager and I just got a new tube and it’s still great- it gives me a glow without being orange. More scented than I’d like but that fades quickly.

I haven't tried the Jones Road tinted moisturiser but I have used the No.7 Shield and Defend tinted moisturiser for years. It's not scented and I use the light shade in winter and medium in summer. It's about £14 and does the job - so about £30 cheaper than Jones Road.

Thanks both.

Don’t bother. It’s nice on application but is quite sheer, doesn’t cover redness as much as it claims to but does give a nice glow and a freshness if you are looking for a natural look.

But there are far better tinted moisturisers out there including making your own by adding a drop of your foundation to a moisturiser.

The biggest disappointment however is the longevity. It lasted no more than a few hours.

I don’t like it, found it very ‘thin’. I like their Miracle Balms, but not this.
I really like the Erborian BB/CC creams. I have quite pale, cool toned skin and the ‘Clair’ shade works well for me. IMHO, their CC cream is a true tinted moisturiser - light, but with some coverage. The BB cream is a tinted moisturiser heading towards foundation - ie a bit more coverage. (Disclaimer: I only ever wear tinted moisturisers/very light foundations so someone who is used to heavier foundation might disagree with my description!). If you buy directly from Erborian they are quite good for samples.

I got rid of Jones Road / it’s a marmite product. They really need to do a trial size. It did give a nice glow but the colour even though skin matched was just unflattering somehow and wore through to just looking a bit greasy and my skin is fairly dry (which was why I went for it).

RMS and Ilia skin tints (and westman atelier complexion drops) were both better for me.

Oh sorry, I see they’ve got a tinted moisturiser! What the foundation was what I had!

LoveSandbanks · 05/06/2025 13:13

I haven’t tried their tinted moisturiser but I hated their what the foundation. Merit have just released a tinted sunscreen which, so far I love.

Very helpful. Waste of cash!
