Blusher, but not very expensive

I need a new blusher and would like to try something different. I'm fair neutral skin type. Dark eyebrows/lashes but mid brown hair. I've tried bourgeois and a nars dupe in the past. I prefer a powder so I can chuck it on quickly in the morning. Ideally something that helps me look less like a zombie. 😆

Elf blusher sticks. Budget buy so if they are not for you you've not had a big spend. I'd suggest to go darker than you think - some shades are very fushia pink.

NYX buttermilk

Obviously this pic is not me, but I'm using a picture of the gorgeous Natalie Portman to give an idea of my colouring. I'd love some suggestions of what colour would look best for everyday. All three suggestions so far look great but just not sure which colour to go for. Thanks.

I rate Revolution either from Superdrug or their own site

Elf stuff is really good and very good value too. I’ve found a few things of theirs much better than much higher priced equivalents.

Rimmel jelly blusher is excellent for dry skin.

ItsMutinyontheBunty · 03/06/2025 23:27

I was going to suggest Hoola by Benefit. I have similar colouring and that gives a nice warm look. Lasts for ages too.

My colouring is the same as NP's and I use a Bourjois blusher. I can't remember the colour name, but it's one of the more muted ones.

I really rate Rimmel Maxi blush, it’s a powder that doesn’t go on powdery and has good staying power. It’s inexpensive too, under £10. I think Third Base would work well with your colouring and is fine for everyday wear.

I've just ordered this one in the third base. The Elf ones looked good too but just got my head in a muddle about which colour. Thanks all - its easy to get in a rut with make up so nice to have suggestions of something else to try.

I remembered the name of the Nars dupe I had before: Sleek. It was lovely but very shimmery. Didn't want to to go into the office looking quite so shimmery. 😆

Oooh my fave blush at the moment is the Nyx Buttermilk range. So many lovely colours but be warned - very pigmented so you only need a bit!

Labiabella · 06/06/2025 21:28

I use a collection 2000 blusher stick.

But then the most expensive I've ever gone with make up is max factor mascara or No7 foundation.

sandrapinchedmysandwich · 06/06/2025 21:30

Believe it or not, Primark do a great one for around £1.50

BeautyBlanche · 21/06/2025 22:24

Really pleased you’re happy with the rec OP!
