What has the what are you wearing and how much did it cost tell you about your style and item choices?

I started the what are you wearing and how much did it cost because I am wanted to find out what others were wearing and if people did a mix of high/low and preloved.

For those that have taken part what have you realised about your style and the items you have bought?

For me;
Converse are a great investment as I wear them loads

The M&S palazzo jeans are my go to jeans at the moment.

I like a nice top to make more of an outfit of jeans which includes knitwear.

I have made some good charity shop buys.

I love that thread. I learned that I spend too much money in cotton traders and need to be more adventurous.
I've learned about Vinted.
I'm off to my local outlet village this weekend to explore.
It's helped me find shops I'd never have thought of buying things in both cheap and expensive.
I love browsing style pages now.

Im not sure I’ve ever posted but i do read along and your thread has encouraged me to think about my outfits/cost. At the same time I’ve been tracking all my outfits and costs in an app so have a pretty good record. What I’ve learnt is:

There are outliers in the shoes/coats/bags categories but when it comes to actual clothing generally I spend a lot on items I use less - spending £800 on a skirt that I wear once v spending £30 on leggings that are now on an annual price per wear of 40p doesn’t make sense.

it’s impossible to tell in advance what my absolute winners are going to be, but noting what I wear every day has helped me identify gaps and trends which has been useful when it comes to shopping

I have far too much of everything.

Love that thread!
Ive realiesed that I really do rely on Primark for my basics.
Im way more into second hand bargains then I ever used to be.
and I dont really seem to have set style, its very much a day to day thing rather then 'dress for the occasion'.

oh, and when reading the thread I get equally as fascinated if somebody paid 50p for an item or if they paid £5000!😃

I am fascinated with the outfits that everyone is putting together. I am so happy to read about people’ second hand buys, some of which make me very jealous of your finds.
