Peri-thinning hair

I’m 46 and have been on HRT for about a year.

Fine hair runs in the family, but my hair is getting much thinner compared to about 5 years ago. I’m really trying to keep any loss to a minimum and maybe even grow some back. I’m using minoxidil (regaine) with some success but it makes my hair a bit crispy. My hair is also fragile so prone to breaking and doesn’t really grow longer than my shoulders.

I have dark blonde hair and I’ve highlighted pretty much my whole adult life. Since November I stopped bleaching it to try and work on the condition but there is so much more grey than I was expecting and now my fringe is totally dark, which I think makes me look tired. Feels like I’ve swapped one crap hair problem for another.

is there anyway I can lighten/ bleach my hair (or tbh just some pieces around my face) without damaging it.

Your iron levels need to be over 70 for hair
