What to wear to outdoor festival with teenager to see Olivia Rodrigo?

In a few weeks time DD (14) and I are off to see Olivia Rodrigo and other singers at Hyde park. It’s end of June but think I will need to have a plan dependent on the weather nearer the time but what do I wear?

Its been a looong time since I’ve been to a an outdoor concert/ festival (V-Festival anyone) and am pretty sure back in the day I took a pack of baby wipes, wore some tiny shorts and something smaller on the boobs!

These days (I’ve lost some weight recently so feeling good!) but am a size 18-20. The guidance says we can only take a small bag in with us so some kind of poncho might be good if it’s looking iffy weather wise. Will also be LOTS of standing!

I’m taking my dd - she has a purple sequin mini (micro) skirt.

I will probably just be in jeans and a t shirt with trainers. Not thought about rain….maybe I need a binbag to sit on in case of it. I cannot stand that many hours!

Lots of people take picnic blankets to Hyde Park gigs, so long as they fold up small they are fine. There is a lot of standing otherwise!

my standard gig outfit currently is a band t shirt and long bias cut satin skirt, with trainers. There’s a lot of walking at Hyde park so comfortable is a must.

I'd wear jeans and a t shirt. You can buy packs of vacuum packed rain ponchos from eBay which would fit in your small bag for if needed!

I’ve just worn denim shorts/top/jacket in the past. If potentially wet tied a rain jacket around my waist. Toilets are etc are generally ok but it can be slippery so trainers are ideal. Small cross over handbag and it was all fine.

Hand sanitizer, pack a mac and something to sit on .

We took my friends Dd a couple of years ago, she had shorts, t-shirt and hoody as it gets cold come the end. We are going to Olivia this year and I will be taking my tiny packed disposable rain poncho, clothing suitable for a porta loo and a sweatshirt or jacket for later in the evening.
We used the disposable poncho to sit on last time as the ground was a little damp, this year might try and pick up a cheap picnic blanket.
