I’m thinking of having one - has anyone had one, and if so was it worth it? I’m not expecting miracles, just a bit of a lift without surgery or downtime.

I want to know too. I'm thinking of doing it as an interim measure.

@GettingbysomehowI did a search on previous posts. The overall sentiments are favourable but that for the cost, it doesn’t last that long.

Don’t do it. They don’t last and it’s painful! Have a look on Real Self, lots of negative reviews.

@OnthePisteAgain I’ll do that, thank you. It seemed a good alternative to fillers and less drastic than a facelift. Do you have any suggestions …? I’m 55.

My friend had one a few years ago and it was a complete waste of money. Made no difference at all! She’s now had a facelift which looks really good and not in the least fake.

littlezozo · 07/06/2025 07:19

I'm interested in anyone suggests any alternatives?

I'm botox resistant now. I enquired about a face life but was told it wasn't bad enough and to wait. Had cheek and chin filler but still jowls and a constant grumpy angry looking face. When I'm really not!
I was looking at threads but if people are saying there a waste what would they recommend instead?

I honestly think the only thing that works is a facelift. I will definitely get one but think I’ll need to wait until I retire as I bruise so badly and there’s no way I could return to work until the bruising goes.
I currently use tretinoin (amazing for fine lines and for skin texture), an LED mask, a Foreo bear and get Botox every 6 months. Nothing can really turn the clock back. I’m getting the injectable ‘skin boosters’ at the end of this month from my dentist but I don’t think they’ll make a miraculous difference unfortunately.
