Small women's sunglasses

Hi so this must've been done before but couldn't immediately find anything on the search...

I'm after a pair of sunglasses for my small head that fit my face without falling off (usually not an issue in the plasticy styles) but also don't have arms that extend an inch beyond my ears (always an issue!)

I've looked at goodr but not overly keen on the styles, refuse to spend big on ray bans because I'll only scratch and/or lose them, have tried on large kids' styles in m and s (make my eyes look too close together)... Anyone tried Charly therapy?

Recommendations please!?

As another small faced/small headed person, am following this with interest!

You can go to an optician and get non-prescription tinted lenses fitted, they'll have a huge range of frame sizes. I guess one of the online glasses places that sends you the frames to try first would be a good call if on a budget.

I bought some nice sunglasses from the teenage section in a big department store in Italy, must be similar here.

I recently found this brand after googling small women’s sunglasses. The Elvie is recommended for small faces but when I tried it on the arms were way too long, the lens were fine though. The sales assistant suggested I try the kids ones. There are two kids sizes S and M and the medium fit perfectly. They didn’t have the ones I wanted in store so bought online. Not sure where you are but most of their stores are in London but they do have a few in other parts of the UK.

I’ve the same problem and after trying on so many pairs in sunglasses shops, department stores, Accessorise etc, I keep ending up with the same pair from Boots. It’s plastic, not metal, frames, slightly wrap around but not like sports glasses, with quite big lenses but not ones that poke out at the corners. Come in black and brown.

Teen dd has inherited my tiny head and has the same problem, she also found a pair that fit in Boots, having hunted everywhere.

I think sunglasses are one thing you really need to try in store unfortunately, I’ve ordered and returned so many online.

MujeresLibres · 01/06/2025 11:10

Specsavers used to have a petite range, not sure if they still do. That's where I got mine.

Cedrabbage · 01/06/2025 11:11

Ah unfortunately not near any Jimmy fairly stores, though noted for the next London trip, along with trying on loads in general.

Hadn't considered boots but will now, thanks!

These are the Boots ones.

Following with interest. I used to wonder why all sunglasses make my ears hurt after a few hours but it’s because the curved bit of the arm doesn’t sit where it’s supposed to on my ear. I am very sensitive to light and wear sunglasses all year round so would love some that actually fit and look nice!

SpinningTops · 01/06/2025 11:46

I’m small and like izipizi sunglasses. There’s different styles though and not sure if they fit differently.

donotaskmesillyquestions · 01/06/2025 12:16

I have solved this (for me, anyway), by buying children’s Raybans. They are a fair bit cheaper than the adult ones, and sit just right on me.

Yes, they do.

Londonmummy66 · 02/06/2025 18:16

I'm afraid the only ones I can manage are Goodr. I have the brown tortoiseshell OG for "normal" and blue ones for running.

csam · 02/06/2025 18:40

Not cheap but by far the lightest pair I’ve ever owned, and perfect for small faces is Maui Jim Sugar Beach 421.

Pabbel · 02/06/2025 18:42

Go to the children and teen sizes, works for me.

Cedrabbage · 03/06/2025 07:55

Thanks for all the recommendations so far. Question then, which stores specifically have teen sizes?
