Outfit for a night out

I wouldn't normally post for this kind of thing, but..... I'm 4 weeks into a massive IBS flare up and having all kinds of tests as it's been so nasty for so long. I'm bloated and living in dresses as that's the most comfortable thing at the moment.

I'm going on a night out in 10 days - going with bf and his dsis and her oh. It's going to be lots of dj's and dancing.

Normally I'd wear jeans, top and probably wedge sandals - but my jeans are really uncomfortable to wear for too long at the moment, and if I can get them on then I'm paranoid about my bloated stomach! I'm 54, 5ft4" and size 14/16, more of a pear shape normally.

Any suggestions please?

That must be tedious for you. Hope it clears up soon.

Mini or maxi? Budget?

Something like this

Cos dress

Very lightweight and skimming over. You could add the gently elasticated trousers if that felt right, but it would be fine on its own.

It's very tedious....I'm actually sick to death of it now!!

Budget is around £100-ish

The Cos dress is lovely, I'm just not sure about the neck. I feel sick a lot of the time and the thought of something around my throat....

I’m sure you’ve found something by now - but if not, this might be a workable alternative:

Cos linen dress

Would be very easy to wear.
