Good bikini for small boobs

I hate wearing a bikini because I’m small chested. I like my waist/hip and bum area not my chest.

I haven’t had to wear a bikini since I was a teenager, but now I’ve been invited on a holiday and I need to.

Are there any well fitting bikini tops, which maybe push small boobs together a bit, but not full off too much padding/foam?

Otherwise I might get a super tiny cropped T - shirt

I think the string triangles look great on small boobs / flat chests. Especially if you’ve got a good waist. I got a great one last year with a criss cross back that is lovely.

PeachPumpkin · 28/05/2025 21:32

Good idea to steer clear of too much padding. I’ve found it gets really heavy when wet and takes ages to dry. No specific suggestions, but ideally I would go for something that you can buy according to bra size, maybe with a little bit of padding and perhaps a frill on the cups (although I appreciate that’s not to everyone’s taste).

ThisChic · 28/05/2025 21:39

@PeachPumpkin I think well fitting cups are a must - too big will be unflattering if there are gaps. It’s hard to get a good push up bra for small boobs!

Being very small of boob myself, I find that a more “sporty” filled-in bikini top works better as the skimpier ones just emphasise my expanse of flat chest. So a tankini style, thick halter neck or one with thicker straps to cover my upper chest a bit more IYKWIM.

For togs I usually go with a high neck style with a zip front for the same reason.

I have the same problem, does anyone have any brands to recommend?

VictorianScreenTime · 28/05/2025 22:13

I’ve found Boden good. Also the Aussie surfy brands like seafolly (expensive though!)

Roxy? It tends to be a more sporty style. Same with Billabong and Ripcurl https://www.roxy-uk.co.uk/pt-beach-classics---bralette-bikini-top-for-women-3616751138380.html

@VictorianScreenTime Thank you, but I’m more in to feminine/rétro than sporty styles…. I quite like a bikini rather than a swimsuit so I can have the parts of my body I am ok with (waist/hips) out….

But thank you, nothing wrong with those swimsuits just not my style

Can you show an example of your favourite style? It might be easier to give advice

H&M super push up, in both bra and bikini. They also do regular push up.

NicolaCasanova · 31/05/2025 09:39

I always wear triangles, but I don’t care about people seeing I have small breasts. My favourite shop is hands down Calzedonia as they are such good quality and last forever despite the sun, salt and chlorine, plus huge range of styles and patterns, different every year.

shash1982 · 31/05/2025 09:54

I second the next shaping bikini. I have a few and they last despite chlorine, suncream etc.
You can remove the padding from them too.

evtheria · 31/05/2025 10:09

Lightly padded: H&M always do a range, some have wider straps & banding, others are the usual triangles+string look.
Also try Tesco - their current collection is a dupe of the scrunchy Hunza G swimsuits, and they have some two pieces. They are lightly padded, but the scrunchy/stretch fabric also adds a bit of push up! I may have bought 2 sets, they just feel great on.

I like florals and check print, or just a block colour like red or white.

Sorry I don’t have a particular bikini in mind….

Slightly padded halter string tie triangle ones. I second H&M.

Quite a lot of people recommending H&M, so think it's worth a look. I don't often shop there.

With triangle bikinis, I could adjust the back so it's tight and pushes my boobs together.

Doesn’t have to be a bikini? I like the halterneck one piece swimsuits from For Luna - they do various retro styles.

I like to try to hide my breasts or draw attention away from them, but I also like to have well fitting bras/bikinis which don't flatten me (this can happen with super tight clothes, they can flatten down breast tissue....)

I don't like chicken fillets or heavy padding as it just feels like 'false advertising', and trying to attract the gaze of boob men 😅

I don't mind triangle bikinis if they fit well.

I have ordered a pair from calzedonia as they seem they might fit well. I was searching on the net and came across Cupshe. Although they have a lot of choice I couldn’t get over how “enhanced “ all the models look. It makes it really hard to imagine how the bikinis would look on someone much smaller!

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 01/06/2025 16:20

I like cupshe for swimwear (also good for dresses and jumpsuits!)

Loads to choose from - different designs, colours, sizes and cheeky bottoms which I like 😊

ThymeSageRosemary · 01/06/2025 16:32

I'm small of boob and I wear a slightly padded bandeau halterneck bikini. It's extremely flattering.

Thelifeofawife · 01/06/2025 19:43

I recommend ones that are bra size. My favourite in this style was from New Look.
But I have also had good ones from Next & Shein that are generic sizing (10/12 or s/m)

I’ve heard good things about Pour Moi but haven’t yet ordered from them
