Manicure/nails

I work in health care so usually my nails are short, clean and polish free. However, I have a month off and really fancy getting a nice manicure and getting my nails done. I don't want acrylics, but I do want something that doesn't look like i could do it myself at home, and I would like something that will last for the month. Any advise, recommendations on what I should be asking for?

BIAB - stands for Builder in a bottle. Completely non chip and does not wreck your nails like shellac. Book the removal appointment the day you get it done.

They put on a rubber coat so your nail itself is sort of thick - hard to pick up a pin. Mine are short and I usually do a french polish or some soft colour/nude as I get bored of strong colours.

Shellac is the other non chip option but harms the nails more. Biab cost more than shellac. I get mine done every 3 weeks

I would (and do) go with shellac - less damaging than acrylics, biab or gels when it comes to removal.
