Outfit for wedding

I'm attending a wedding as a guest in a couple of weeks. Can anyone suggest where to go for an outfit? I need a dress, hat and shoes. I was thinking of Next for the dress and shoes, but are there any other suggestions? Where is the best place to order a hat or fascinator? I don't have a huge budget, maybe £70 in total. I'm short and overweight so buying clothes that look OK on me is always a challenge. Many thanks.

Unless it's a royal wedding you don't need a hat or a fascinator. £70 for everything is going to be difficult, so don't waste any of it on a hat.

On that budget I'd look at Joannie clearance dresses. There's loads here I'd be happy to wear to a wedding and I'd get lots of wear out of them afterwards.

I'd pick the dress first and then supermarket shoes- for me ballet pumps or flat Mary Janes. Here are Tu's but George at Asda will have similar.

Debenham's on-line has a wide range of styles or dresses in all the time, good range of prices too.

Charity shops are often given 'end of stock line' fascinators and hats that are brand new. One of the shops near me always has new fascinators in in the Spring / Summer.
There's another one that people give their 'worn once' hats to. Well worth a look.

Indeed I am aware of Charity shops in 2 different Cities that are dedicated to wedding (and prom) outfits, from Bridal dresses to MoB and MoG dresses, to general guest dresses. Well worth a look to pick up some designer names clothes, at knock down prices.

This dress is lovely from Zara, it has pockets too and is 100% cotton, it also comes in a yellow and purple colourway - either would give you lots of options with shoes and bag colours
