6th Form suits for girl

Can anyone suggest where I can look for 6th form suits for DD? She’s starting a new school and the dress code is strict. Don’t really want to pay Hobbs / Jigsaw prices but the jacket and skirt / trousers have to be a matching set, which narrows the choice somewhat! Any tips welcome… thank you in advance!

How very dare you! I’ve lived in London, in Hampstead no less! Grin And unfortunately for me because I don’t like it at all, my in laws live in Manhattan so I stay there four times a year. I’ve seen many a business woman but I can’t remember seeing one in a suit.

You’re hilarious. Imagine getting so outraged to write that. What another country has to do with uniforms in schools in the UK is ridiculous. American kids don’t wear uniforms (unless private or catholic so not the majority). Hit a bit of a nerve there did I?

I stand by what I said. I wear a suit (or equivalent). So does my husband (separate industry). So does my best friend (separate industry), so does her husband. So does my next door neighbour. So does my neighbour across the street. And yeah they all work in the Home Counties and or London.

So how very dare you (honestly who says that without clutching their pearls) imply that people don’t. some do and some don’t.

She’s talking about businesswomen in Manhattan. Not school kids.

Not sure what your husband or your friend’s husband have got to do with a conversation about women wearing business suits?

I was joking! Sorry.

I wasn’t even slightly outraged. And I’m still not. You did not hit a nerve. I can’t imagine what nerve there is to hit.

Dd wears suits to her school formals because she doesn’t like dresses. She has a lovely one from Disturbia. It’s good quality and wasn’t expensive.
