Hairdressers tomorrow. Experiences or advice welcome!

I had one because of really thick hair. I wanted a trendy bob cut but as soon as she cut and styled it i very quickly realised I just looked like a foreskin. Mushroom head 😅 the stylist gave me an undercut and it fixed the issue straight away.
It does look really strange when you're growing it out! Other than that no complaints.

I had one a few years ago when my hair was long as it’s very thick-it made life a lot cooler in the summer.
When I grew it out it was quite painless too as I had a lot cut off the length of my hair so it kind of met in the middle as it grew

I had one years ago when I had a short bob and really loved it. I have thick hair and it made it much easier to style , it was nice and breezy on my neck in the summer too. It wasn't too difficult to grow out either , a fringe is more troublesome in my opinion.

Great, thank you! I have curly hair in a sort of short bob/long crop so thinking this might work. I’m not having a fringe!!

…also worth noting (…from years of having undercuts then growing them back and putting them in again) not all hairdressers are great at doing undercuts.

Def take a picture so you don’t end up with too much taken off, and imo, it’s a ‘thing’ in itself. One hairdresser did mine really quickly and I had to grow some of it back out as what she had done was awful.

I love mine though, especially in the summer!
