Blepharoplasty appointment today…help!

I’m seeing a consultant today about having a double blepharoplasty. I’ve wanted/needed this for years but feel really vain and silly and extremely embarrassed-
I’m sort of person who never goes to the hairdresser and it’s really not me to be tweaking myself so dramatically.

I don’t really know what to ask apart from about the operation itself - it’s only just occurred to me that I should max out my time and get a load of questions.

There was a long running thread on here if you search. I think my main concern would be recovery time and then how you could expect it to settle over time.

For quickness you could use chatgbt to ask what questions you should ask.

Obviously I’m certainly not a doctor but here are some thoughts on questions to start with:

1. What method? Scarless or with incision? You get different results and method used depends on what exactly you want the surgery to address. Recovery time with scarless is, I believe, a bit shorter but imo the end result is more important than a faster recovery
2. Ask about what the surgeon thinks of your cheeks. Are they starting to hollow? How will the cheeks look post-bleph? Will fat re-distribution be required?
3. Do you have thin skin? Will that impact on results?
4. Talk about hyperpigmentation? The surgery won’t cure the dark circles themselves but ask about what might be done to address that
