Alternatives to Nivea Soft

I've used Nivea Soft for about 20 years. But they've gone and changed the formula. It's horrid! Leaves my skin feeling sticky and my face tingles, plus my make up goes a bit clumpy.

Has anyone else found the same, and discovered a good alternative? I don't mind spending a little more, but can't keep buying the £25 L'Occitane stuff I've been using this last month.

I've put Neutrogena Deep Moisture Fast Absorbing and E45 body lotion into my supermarket shop basket ... any other suggestions?

There have been a few threads on this so you're not alone Smile Try searching "nivea soft" to see some suggestions.
You can sometimes find the old pots in places like Bodycare - look for ones not marked vegan.

I'm nearly down to the bottom of my last but one pot. I'm dreading running out 🙁

I like the big tub of Cerave moisturiser (doesn’t have the nice Nivea smell though). I sometimes get Body Shop body butters when they’re on offer (olive one is my favourite, some are really sickly). Quite like that Dove Pro Age lotion despite its smell, leaves skin really soft.

Ceravee..
Big tub.

You guys are fab, thank you - I’ve added these to my Amazon basket to try out.

I like Superdrug’s Vitamin E range, I use their serum as well. Haven’t used Nivea Soft for years though so I can’t really say if they compare, but it did used to suit my skin.

I always used another Nivea cream and that changed to being sticky on the face as well. I’ve since switched to Aldi’s own Rejuvenate and it sinks in well with a SPF30. Cheap as chips too

I’m about to buy another tub but didn’t know it had changed. I’ve also used it for many years. The blue Nivea is too heavy for daytime. I might try Astral as it’s quite similar

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 21/05/2025 21:07

Cerave is good.

I also use La Roche Posay Lipikar Creme which I think is quite similar to the Nivea.

JustGettingStarted · 21/05/2025 21:52

I really like Astral.

Thank you again for all the suggestions, it's really positive to have lots to try.
