New Look sizing help

I used to shop at newlook years ago when I was a size8, I haven’t shopped there due to being a lot bigger from weight gain but this year lost all the weight and can comfortably wear size 10s from George and matalan etc size 28 Levi’s. Can anyone help with recent sizing and kindly tell me if there genuine sizes or to small,to big etc. Is there sizing similar to any other brands? Thanks everyone

I think your best bet is to compare the sizing charts of different brands.

I find them true to size

Well, I just ordered some size 10 stuff from New Look, and have had to return it. Much, much smaller than a size 10 from a supermarket/Matalan. Clearly it is for teenage size 10s, not those of a more mature size 10 shape!

I also bought some size 10 jeans from Tu (Sainsbury’s) and they were vast .

If you are currently a size 10 in ASDA, I'd try on everything from an 8 to an 18 in New Look.

Don’t expect the same quality as from years ago, new look stuff is shite now.

You can still find some good bits but they tend to be hidden behind all the polyester!

I find them abit on the larger side TBH. Im a 10 in most other places (Primark, tu. Next, m&S) but I often get an 8 from New Look.

I find them true to size too. I’m a 10, and a 10 usually fits.

I’m a size 10 and would say New Look clothes are pretty standard sizing. I love their Adalae jeans. Also have denim skirts, several dresses, vest tops, t-shirts, jackets etc and all are a size 10.
I know a comment further up says about them being for teenage size 10’s but all I would say is I’m 45 years old and the size 10 fits fine

I'm 49 years old and again size 10 fits me fine. I got a loose tshirt recently in an 8 because I prefer fitted clothes but the 10 was fine too. @Glitterandsparklesgirl

@Glitterandsparklesgirlyea the tops are fine in normal size. Same as @TheOGCCLI have a couple of their looser tops in an 8 but that’s just personal preference of how I like tops to sit on me. I like their 2 for £14 t-shirts, they fit perfectly in a 10 and I like that they have petite sizes too (handy as I’m barely over 5’ tall)

I’m generally a 12 bottom, 10/12 top and find NL true to size. I recently bought a couple of summer skirts online in a 12, and if I had tried them in store probably would have got the 10 as they’re very generous.
