Tan and mosquito repellent

Hi I’m genuinely baffled please help!

Going abroad for a few days and I need to use mosquito repellent, all of the ones I’ve tried are pretty oily or leave a bit of a sheen.
I also need to use a tan/leg makeup as a cover up as well. I’ve always avoided shorts but this time I want to get my pins out a few nights.

Has anyone found a way or a dry repellent that wouldn’t affect a fake tan? Which order do you apply products?

Pretty sure this doesn’t exist - bug spray is pretty fierce and takes everything off (including hardcore things like gel nail polish). I have tried pretty much all of them (done lots of travelling in malarial areas) and never found one that wasn’t basically paint stripper.

I used those wrist bands (Pestects) last year in Spain. One on my wrist one around the ankle and bites were reduced by 90%.
