Body moisturiser?

Since starting HRT patches and recognising just how much our skin absorbs, I've avoided body creams - all those chemicals being absorbed into our system 🤯

I've been using coconut oil or almond oil (sometimes with an essential oil for fragrance) but despite my skin feeling soft, I've noticed it's suddemly aging quickly and looking a bit crepey eveny forearms. I'm mid-40s).

Any recommendations for a lovely, rich, moisturising body cream that's not full of nasties? Thank you!

You could invest in some nice oils- castor, jojoba as an example and a bit pot of refined shea butter and make your own? Plenty of recipe’s online. I do this and add my own essential oils for fragrance. I’m using geranium and rose geranium at the moment and it’s lovely. Very rich and nourishing.

I make a batch in the summer using maychang or lemon verbena and I feel I get bitten less in the garden too (insect bites) although that could be my imagination.

I use my food mixer to whip everything up into a lovely cream.

Tallow is becoming popular as well - that’s very rich.

Using just oil is actually very drying, you must use it on damp skin at least.
I am not sure which ‘nasties’ you are trying to avoid, Palmers body butter is great for dry, crepey skin.

TY. I did buy a big tub of cocoa butter and tried to whip it up (with almond, coconut and essential oil). It went rock hard again and into the bin as it was not usable. Do you have a tried and tested recipe, please?

I just got the nettle one from here and it smells gorgeous. Lovely and moisturising too. The deodorants are lovely as well, the neroli and citrus one smells amazing

Hadn't thought about my patches and absorption 😫
