How do you get the smell of hair dye off hair?

I dyed my hair in L'Oreal 28 washes dye about 10 days ago and I have washed my hair at least 5 times since yet the smell of the dye still lingers. I know it will eventually disappear but does anyone know of something I could do to speed this?
I have tried vinegar, hair mask, clarifying shampoo, coconut oil...

It’s vile isn’t it?
It’s the reason I’ve decided to live with my grey appearing, I just couldn’t cope with the smell. I washed my hair every night but could still smell it over three weeks later!
